fresh seafood

Incredibly fresh seafood cooked with great skill. Dishes are elevated with chef-driven creativity, like the squid ink in the squid croquettes or the fantastic brioche-toast seafood tartares.

The shrimp based dishes were especially good. Well staffed and quick service with solid pricing on some great food. One of the better seafood spots in the city.

We had a reservation on a busy Friday evening and were seated very promptly. Ray was a wonderful server and his recommendations were spot on — both for wine and food. We were made to feel so welcome! The food was truly spectacular while being unpretentious, some of the best seafood we have had in Barcelona. 15/10 can’t wait to return.

Incredibly fresh seafood cooked with great skill. Menu consists of seafood-based tapas, catch-of-the-day specials, and local natural wines, alongside the usual bar fare. Dishes are elevated with chef-driven creativity like the use of squid ink in squid croquettes. Staff are knowledgeable, helpful, and speak multiple languages.

Fantastic meal at Nardi. You can definitely see the connection to its sister restaurant with the same warm hospitality and branding. The food was well executed without feeling overly complicated or pretentious. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu.

Tapas, the bar and the catch: Nardi from the inside

A seafood tavern built around its bar

Straight from the market. No stories. What the sea brings in decides the menu: the counter changes with the catch, and what you see today came in this morning.

Nardi was born in El Born as the seafood sister of Bar Pimentel, part of Grup Amiks. The same easy way of running a tavern, turned towards market fish and shellfish.

We are not a white-tablecloth seafood house, nor a fry shop. We are grill, robata and fritters, with market produce, low-intervention wines and a bar where you eat standing up if you have to.

Order for the middle of the table, share, and ask what came in today: it is almost always the best recommendation in the house.

Come with your questions answered

The base stays, but the fish and shellfish on the counter depend on what arrives from the market that morning. Ask about the catch of the day.
